Meet Emily
Hi, I’m Emily. I’m a professional dog trainer passionate about helping people build stronger relationships with their dogs through clear communication, mutual respect, and understanding.
My path into dog training started with my own reactive dog. I know what it feels like to love your dog deeply while also feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to help. What started as a desire to better understand my own dog grew into a passion for helping other dogs and their owners.
I spent two years mentoring under an accredited professional trainer, gaining hands-on experience with thousands of dogs across different breeds, ages, temperaments, and behavioral challenges. That experience gave me a deep understanding of how dogs learn and taught me the importance of adapting training to the individual dog in front of me.
Today, I use a balanced approach that combines structure, play, clear communication, and accountability to build more than obedience. I focus on practical training that helps each dog and owner make meaningful progress toward their individual goals whether that means more enjoyable walks, better manners at home, improved behavior around distractions, or simply understanding and communicating with each other more clearly.
My passion for training extends beyond my work with clients. I compete in agility with my Belgian Tervuren, Tequila, and compete in sheep herding with my German Shepherd, Maya. I also continue my education through seminars, research, and learning from respected professionals in the industry.
At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to give you the communication, confidence, and reliability you need to enjoy more of life with your dog.
